Ukraine behind bars is the post-apocalyptic perspective visualized in Ruslana’s new video THIS IS EUPHORIA!
Video clip THIS IS EUPHORIA!
The clip was directed by the acclaimed video producer Semen Gorov. Operator was Vyatsheslav Piluns’kiy, stylists were Angela Posokhova and Yana Chaplygina. The dance production was enacted by the choreographic Studio D-Side of Yevgen Kulakovs’kiy and Olga Zholkevs’ka in cooperation with the acrobats Nazar Mayborodo and Sergiy Krasko.
The shooting took place at Kyiv Fortress, particularly in one of its buildings, the ‘Skew Carponier’, where political prisoners were kept under harsh conditions in the 19th and beginning of 20th century.
Single THIS IS EUPHORIA
The single THIS IS EUPHORIA is a joint production of Ruslana with well-known Swedish producer and composer Stefan ?rn, composer of the winning song of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 and known Ukrainian producer Pavlo Grytsak (of the company Euromedia). In order to give the composition an ethnic coloration Ruslana used the bandura, a popular Ukrainian instrument. The bandura part was played by the musician Roman Gryn’kiv.
